There are Two Easy Ways to Open a Non-Registered Account:
1. Populate Qtrade forms online.
Completing an application over the internet using Qtrade Investor's secure online new account application form is the fastest way to open your account. You will be required to print, sign, and return the appropriate documentation* to Qtrade Investor. If you already have an existing CWT account, you can apply online today Follow the steps below to access Qtrade forms.
2. Print Qtrade forms to complete manually.
Print a copy of the Qtrade Investor account application form in Adobe Acrobat format. Complete, sign, and return* to Qtrade Investor. Click here to access the Qtrade new account application form. Follow the steps below to access Qtrade forms.
To access Qtrade forms online, visit the Qtrade web site by clicking here. Click on the "apply now" link in the menu on the left side of the Qtrade home page.
This will take you to the Account Options page, which will allow you to click on "NEW Application, APPLY NOW" to start the online new account application process.
*Qtrade Investor must verify your signature and identity by clearing a personal cheque from you through your financial institution. You can either provide a personal cheque for the minimum deposit required to open a Qtrade Investor account ($1,000 for a cash account, and $2,000 for a margin account) or, if you are not funding your account with the initial minimum deposit by way of a personal cheque, you can provide Qtrade Investor with a personal cheque in the amount of $10.00. Unless you instruct otherwise, Qtrade Investor will deposit the $10.00 into your Qtrade Investor account. For joint accounts, please ensure that, if the cheque is not from a joint account, both applicants provide personal cheques. . A photocopy of government issued identification such as a driver's license or passport is also required with the application.
