Canadian Western Trust

Security at CWT

How we work to protect you

Safeguarding your personal, business and financial information and providing you with a secure banking environment are priorities for Canadian Western Bank and Canadian Western Trust. We are committed to protecting you from fraud, identity theft and other security issues.

At the same time, you also have an active and important role in protecting yourself, your computer and your bank accounts, and recognizing and preventing fraud.

If you have concerns about fraud or suspect you've been compromised, report it immediately to Phishing@cwbank.com.

There are many kinds of banking fraud. As a first line of defence to protect against fraud, CWT recommends changing your passwords frequently.

If you receive a call or message from someone claiming to be with CWT, prior to providing them any information, advise them that you need to call them back. Then do so after you have independently validated the number through a public source or from what you have on file.

The Canadian Bankers’ Association website has credible and up-to-date information on frauds and scams. To learn more on how you can protect yourself, CWT recommends you visit the Fraud Prevention section of the Canadian Bankers’ Association website at: http://www.cba.ca/en/component/content/category/42-safeguarding-your-money.
